"Green CityThere is no globally accepted definition for the concept of "". Since the perspective of many international organizations on the concept, their handling of applications and their support vary according to sectors, the concept is sometimes evaluated on a narrow basis and sometimes on a broader basis. However, in recent years, its usage area has gradually expanded. and becoming widespreadgreen cityThe concept of " has become more inclusive as a higher-scale phenomenon.  

One "green city"** as a minimum, according to established criteria:

  • Exhibiting high environmental performance,

  • Increasing the quality of environmental assets such as water, air, soil and biodiversity, 

  • water, energy, land and materials etc. using resources economically,

  • It is a city that tries to mitigate the risks caused by climate change and adapt to its consequences. 

"Smart CityThe concept of " essentially means improving the quality of life of citizens through the effective and efficient use of information and communication technologies and tools. According to the European Commission "smart city": "is defined as a place where traditional networks and services are made more efficient through the use of digital solutions for the benefit of its residents and businesses. The concept is taken by the OECD as follows: "smart city; "To make the city's vital infrastructure components and services more efficient and dependent by using information and communication technologies."
